If you're reading this, we've already met, you said yes to the test, and it's on. Inside: a grumpy bunny, the most boring product on earth, and an app that doesn't exist yet.
We're Lost Astronaut, from Vilnius. We build brands and products from scratch โ and we invest in founders building their own. The name is no accident: everyone on earth is a bit lost, and the lost ones tend to build the most interesting things.
Between what we launch and what we back, there's a whole bench of products โ apps, brands, physical things, some you'll meet later. And every one of them needs the same scarce resource: attention, won in a creative, quality, smart way that actually converts. Not ads nobody remembers.
So we built LACD โ the Lost Astronaut Creative Department. Two camps. Creative โ people who come up with ideas and execute them at a level worth posting. Distribution โ the machine that posts, launches and makes those ideas travel.
Your test is a seat in the creative camp. We bring the distribution.
The circled tile is White Hack โ test #1, chosen on purpose. If the machine works on laundry, it works on anything.
And this brief? It comes down to three things:
White Hack is a laundry-sheet brand we back. And let's be honest: laundry might be the hardest product on earth to sell. It's a commodity โ everyone already has one. You can't taste it. You can't wear it. There's no curiosity, no style points, nothing to show off. And the shelf is guarded by giants with billions in ad spend who all sell the exact same sentence: it cleans clothes. Nothing new, no matter how loudly it's said.
But White Hack has one thing the giants don't. It already comes with a mascot. A grumpy one.
Laundry is boring. But follow it home. Chores live where people live together โ inside relationships. And relationships are interesting to literally everyone.
Then we found the number that unlocks everything. Researchers tracked what couples actually argue about, across more than 11,000 families. #1 wasn't money. It was chores โ 49%, ahead of money (43%) and even the kids (41%).
We're not selling detergent. We're ending the dumbest fight in every home.
What if White Hack isn't just a box of sheets? What if it comes with Hack โ an AI agent wearing the face of that grumpy vinyl bunny โ who takes over the chore war. Tracks it. Splits it. Nags whoever's turn it is, so the couple doesn't have to. Funny, edgy, slightly ironic.
And the bunny himself is creative territory. Grumpy is his starting point, not a law. If your Hack is eviler, cuter, weirder, more unhinged โ pitch him. Convince us.
This isn't a shot in the dark. People already download chore-organising apps โ the demand is proven. But every one of them feels like homework. Nobody has made it fun. That's the door Hack walks through.
One more twist: the app doesn't exist yet. On purpose.
Mike Cessario once made a $1,500 commercial for a canned water called Liquid Death. No water, no factory, no company โ just the idea, executed loudly. It pulled close to a million views a month, so the product got built for real. First month on sale: $100k. Today you can't walk past a fridge without seeing it.
Don't take the drawing's word for it โ here's the actual ad. We're stealing its logic, not competing with its polish:
That's the play here. We launch waves of short concept videos for Hack โ funny, edgy, shareable โ and let the internet vote with its attention. It leans in โ the app gets built for real, and your videos started it. It shrugs โ we learned it for the price of a few videos and iterate on the next concept. Either way, nothing dies in a boardroom.
And how you make them is your craft, not our rule โ AI, animation, acted, puppets, paper cutouts. We judge the reaction, never the toolchain.
To make it concrete, here are two of our own early drafts โ unposted, unpolished, made while prototyping the character. They're the direction, not the ceiling. Beating them is the whole point.
The ad comes before the product. Your work decides if it ever exists.
Creative freedom is real here โ concept, tone, format, how you use the character: your call. The fixed part is the outcome. A winning Hack video moves people to do at least one of these:
Views alone don't count as a win โ reactions that convert do. And what this test is really showing us is simple: how creative you are, how well you execute, and whether you enjoy making this.
After Hack, every LACD launch works this way โ you'd be one of the first people in the room.
